About the Mash-Op
Founded by Danielle Liguori, Misfit Mash-Op was born from a desire to offer high-quality educational opportunities at a price that families can afford. Observing the high costs of traditional co-ops, Danielle committed to creating a space where learning is accessible to everyone. Our secular organization hosts classes in public spaces, allowing children to learn and play, while parents only pay for the classes they need. We are proud to offer volunteer opportunities for teenagers, fostering a sense of community and responsibility.
Estimated Costs for Teachers:
- None outside of traditional family registration. Your child does not have to directly pay for your class through registration either.
Estimated Costs for Families:
- Registration fee will be $50 for the Winter semester. To help offset this and keep it as affordable as possible, families will have the opportunity to “Donate” and pay more for their registration to support families who cannot afford the increased cost.
- Class fees are typically in the $5-30 range, with some classes free or at a premium price. We strive to give parents options and always have an affordable option available.
About the Space:
For Winter and Spring sessions, Misfit Mash-Op will be hosted at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church in Cherry Hill (401 N Kings Hwy, Cherry Hill, NJ – uucch.org), featuring two small classrooms, one medium-sized classroom , and a large downstairs space. Outdoor areas (weather permitting and pending approval) include private road access, open space for breaks, a tended arboretum (please respect the trees—no climbing or touching), and a supervised Labyrinth for reflection.
A few notes for a positive experience: Be mindful of poison ivy in outdoor spots, admire worship artifacts from afar without touching, and honor the grounds to ensure continued access.

Magic Story Stage with Ms Patti ($20) 4-8
We will read stories and act out short plays. We will learn the parts of a story and plays, how to be an author and illustrator of our own stories.
Kitchen Science with Ms Mary ($25) 9-12
Get ready to mix, fizz, and explore the wonders of science—using materials you can find in your kitchen! In this class, young scientists will discover how everyday ingredients can create amazing reactions and teach us about chemistry, physics, and biology. Each week, we’ll use simple items you might find in your pantry or fridge to perform fun experiments. Students will practice observation, prediction, and problem-solving as they experiment and learn to think like scientists—all while having lots of messy, sensory fun!
Career Discovery Lab with Ms Danielle ($45) 13+
Career Discover Lab is a dynamic 8-week homeschool program for teens, turning career curiosity into hands-on skills through rotating experimental stations. Each class explores a new industry—from creative whittling and design to suturing simulations, business pitches, and diplomacy trades. Students tackle interactive career challenges each week, building teamwork, problem-solving, and a personal portfolio of prototypes and insights. Culminate with a tailored roadmap featuring resumes, vision boards, and real-world goals.
Preschool Art with Ms Shirley ($5) 1-5
In this class toddlers and preschoolers will explore basic art concepts. We will do sensory exploration with paints, bubble wrap and recyclables. Use construction paper and our fingers (older learners may use scissors) to make smaller pieces of paper then glue/tape to make collages. Younger learners will likely require assistance from a caregiver.

Entrepreneurship with Ms Sarah and Ms Tess ($5) 8+
Children will learn how to solve problems, think critically and help others through a hands-on guided plan of developing and creating a product throughout the semester. Since this is an individualized program where students will be in charge of designing and developing their own product, we ask that parents provide materials necessary to help their child be successful. As a culminating event, there will be an opportunity for families to participate in a Children’s Entrepreneur Market at the Home and Garden Show in Pennsylvania on 2/21. This is a separate cost ($25 paid to the market) and is optional for children to bring their products to market. Additional information about the market can be found at kidsmarket.com and will be discussed during class.
All About Winter with Ms Patti ($20) 4-7
Join us as we learn all about Winter. We’ll learn about snow, animals, and more. We will learn through stories, crafts, and movement.
Board Games with Ms Mary ($10) 5-8
Dive into the world of board games and unleash your strategic thinking and creativity in Board Game Club! Each week we’ll explore a new type of game mechanism and try lots of fun games together. By the end of the class, students will not only become expert players, but also have the chance to use their imagination to become game designers themselves. This class is perfect for anyone who enjoys friendly competition, teamwork, and wants to explore the art of game design. Students need to be able to follow game instructions independently and have number recognition and correspondence skills mastered, or have an adult attend with them.
Ukulele with Mr. Tristen ($0-15) 8-12
Discover the ukulele’s joy in this beginner class for novices and casual players. Over 4 one-hour sessions, master basic chords, strumming, and tunes in a relaxed group—building rhythm and confidence.
No experience needed! Cost: $0 with your own ukulele, or $15 to rent one.Â
Intro to Knitting with Ms Shirley ($20) 8+
Younger learners welcomed. I’m still a beginner but, I’m comfortable enough with starting and finishing simple projects and looking forward to learning more difficult patterns together. I will be using books to help guide us with different projects. The $10 will cover each learner getting their own set of knitting needles and yarn to keep. We will go over different patterns and how to do different stitches each class after everyone is comfortable with a basic. By the end of class learners will each have a completed scarf or blanket and understand how to make different stitches.
ABC Explorers with Ms Patti ($25) 4-7
We will explore the alphabet through crafts, stories, snacks sensory activities and show n tell. Activities will sent home each week to continue what we’re working on in class. Please let us know if there are food allergies.
Wonder Lab: Everyday Experiments for Kids with Ms Caitlyn ($25) 6-11
Get ready to explore the wonders of science through hands-on discovery! Each week, young scientists will dive into exciting experiments inspired by Usborne’s 365 Science Activities. From color-changing potions and mini rockets to invisible ink and rainbow light, children will explore chemistry, physics, earth science, and more — all through playful, real-world experiments. We’ll make predictions, observe what happens, and learn why things work the way they do — nurturing curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning along the way. This class is perfect for curious minds who love to ask questions, get messy, and explore how the world works!
Croc Pit with Ms Danielle ($5) 12+
Croc Pit is a thrilling 4-week homeschool entrepreneurship workshop for creative kids, channeling Shark Tank vibes into a “crocodile-infested” arena of invention and pitching. Each session will be presented with a problem for which they will have to create a solution and deliver high-energy pitches to a “croc” panel of peers and facilitators. End with a grand finale pitch-off and certificates for top croc-crushers.
