About the Mash-Op

Founded by Danielle Liguori, Misfit Mash-Op was born from a desire to offer high-quality educational opportunities at a price that families can afford. Observing the high costs of traditional co-ops, Danielle committed to creating a space where learning is accessible to everyone. Our secular organization hosts classes in public spaces, allowing children to learn and play, while parents only pay for the classes they need. We are proud to offer volunteer opportunities for teenagers, fostering a sense of community and responsibility.

Estimated Costs for Teachers:

  • None outside of traditional family registration. Your child does not have to directly pay for your class through registration either.

Estimated Costs for Families:

  • Registration fee will be $50 for the Spring semester. To help offset this and keep it as affordable as possible, families will have the opportunity to “Donate” and pay more for their registration to support families who cannot afford the increased cost.
  • Class fees are typically in the $5-30 range, with some classes free or at a premium price. We strive to give parents options and always have an affordable option available.

About the Space:

For Winter and Spring sessions, Misfit Mash-Op will be hosted at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church in Cherry Hill (401 N Kings Hwy, Mt. Laurel, NJ – uucch.org), featuring two small classrooms, one medium-sized classroom , and a large downstairs space. Outdoor areas (weather permitting) include private road access, open space for breaks, a tended arboretum (please respect the trees—no climbing or touching), and a supervised Labyrinth for reflection.

A few notes for a positive experience: Be mindful of poison ivy in outdoor spots, admire worship artifacts from afar without touching, and honor the grounds to ensure continued access.

Ms Danielle

Danielle here—5 years deep in homeschooling magic, including sending two high schoolers off to thrive on their own terms, while currently guiding my 16-year-old son’s tech-savvy explorations and my 7-year-old daughter’s whirlwind of stories and crafts. As an Independent Educational Consultant and tutor with roots in classroom teaching, I blend structured smarts with creative sparks, guiding families through tailored learning adventures. When I’m not plotting curriculum or decoding math mysteries, you’ll find me knee-deep in science experiments or stirring up just the right kind of productive chaos. Let’s craft some epic educational journeys together.
